Pastor Glenn R. Plummer @ SUNY Oswego
Glenn R. Plummer is an ordained minister, pastor, broadcaster, entrepreneur, and leader. He is at the helm of several organizations: Christian Television Network (CTN) as CEO, Ambassadors for Christ Church (AFC) where he is Senior Pastor, and the Fellowship of Israel and Black America (FIBA) where he serves as President. The State of Israel and the Jewish people have held a very special place in Pastor Plummer’s heart and life, as he has visited Israel many times and led tours there on several occasions. He was the recipient of the Ambassador of Tourism Award in 2005, given annually by the State of Israel. Out of a burden and vision for the unification of Israel and Black America, which was placed in Pastor Plummer’s heart several years ago, FIBA was birthed. The purpose of FIBA is to unite Israel and Black America as international friends and strong allies, while also increasing goodwill and friendship between African Americans and American Jews. Pastor Plummer has been the keynote speaker on two occasions at the Israeli Knesset (the nation’s parliament), addressing the issue of Black America and the State of Israel. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon requested Pastor Plummer’s attendance at multiple private meetings both in Israel and the United States. He has also testified before Congress and shared many occasions, both privately and publicly, with President George W. Bush. Recently, he met with Israel’s President, Shimon Peres, in the President’s residence in Jerusalem. He also met privately with past Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olment, during the planning of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Center in Israel’s capital city of Jerusalem.
